It's been a while...

Coming back to my blog after almost 11 years, hoping to gain some more followers and stick with it this time as it is something I really enjoy. 

When I started my blog I was 17 and waiting to start University to study Accounting. Then life kind of got busy with studying and then starting to work. I have since had a couple of jobs all within a bust finance department. I have been in my current job for just over a year - I moved jobs in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic but it was the best decision I made. 

I also moved out of my parents house and bought a house with my Boyfriend and we have been in our house for 4 years now. it has been an adjustment for us both since it was our first time living away from home. Both of our parents are very supportive and are frequent visitors :) 

For my birthday this year my parents bought me a Cricut Maker which I wanted as I seen so many things people had been making. It has taken me some time to get used to it and I learn something new almost every time I use it. It has a home in my dining room as I don't have the space for a craft room but that will be a must if we ever move again! 

I will keep my blog up to date this time around and add photos of the creations I manage to make. I am hoping that I will not have to buy any more cards and each one will be handmade - hopefully I can keep to this!

Nephew's & Mum Card

 Since I got my Cricut Maker and collected lots of my old card making materials/supplies from my parents houses I decided to make the first cards for my 3 nephews and my boyfriends mum.  Our twin nephews Ben and Archie had their 4th birthday first, at the end of August. I made them each a card which I am told they loved and kept looking and pointing it out to any visitors they had for their birthday.  I cut out both of the designs from Cricut Design Space which made it so easy to layer them on top - I used both double sided tape and 3D foam pads. The numbers I cut out on vinyl and put them on where I thought they would suit. I then used the Cricut machine to write Happy Birthday on both of the cards - surprisingly I managed to line it up correctly first time!  For Jack's card I printed out a design I bought from CC Designs called 'Sneaking a Lick'. Autumn Birthday Card

Hi all .... For my card tonight I used papers that I had in my stash, for the image I used the Penny Black "Fantasy" stamp. I stamped it black and added autumn coloured glitter to match the papers. Hope you all like it.  :)! My second challenge card

I think I need to practice getting the photos straight.  Well this is my next card and I have used papers from the same We R Memory keepers pack as yesterdays card.  I stamped the flower from a Stampin Up set and coloured it in with copics and layered it on to the card.  the paper already had glitter but I added some extra glitter as you can never have too much glitter.
